2. Airport minibus

3. Public transport

In order to travel to Esztergom from (BUD) Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (former name Ferihegy Airport) you have to go to the railway station called „Nyugati pályaudvar”.

To get from (BUD) Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport to „Nyugati” railway station please follow these steps

  • take bus 100E (Airport Bus) to Kálvin tér (first stop, takes approximately 30 minutes). The pice of the ticket is 900 HUF, it can be purchased on the bus.
  • take blue Metro (underground) line M3 to get to the railway station: „Nyugati pályaudvar”. It is the fourth stops from Kálvin tér. You will need a single ticket.

OR

  • take bus 200E (Airport Bus) to the terminal (Kőbánya-Kispest) of the blue Metro (underground) line M3. You will need a single ticket.
  • take blue Metro (underground) line M3 to get to the railway station: „Nyugati pályaudvar”. It is the twelfth stop from Kőbánya-Kispest, and takes approximately 20 minutes. You will need a single ticket.

The price of the different types of tickets:

  • Single ticket: 350 HUF
  • Single ticket purchased on the vehicle: 450 HUF

Important information: From the beginning of November 2017, metro line M3 will be closed for reconstruction between Újpest-Központ and Lehel tér stations while on the rest of the route the metro will be in service from the first morning departure until 20:30 between Kőbánya-Kispest and Lehel tér. After 20:30 on workdays and all weekend, the whole metro line will be replaced by buses. For travelling between Újpest-Központ and Lehel tér, the metro replacement bus and tram services as well as other bus lines serving the metro stations in the area but diverted from Váci út are recommended.

The (BUD) Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport operates a city minibus service from the Airport. The Airport Minibus (+36 1 500 0000) will take you anywhere in the city. You must go to „Nyugati pályaudvar”, the price is approximately 4900 HUF. 

The ticket for the minibus can be purchased either at the transit area or at the Airport Minibus Counter in the Arrivals hall. Return ticket can be purchased for lower rate.
